A study by the British Medical Journal has revealed that women who used Depo-Provera for greater than one year had a 5.6-fold increased risk of meningioma.

We are using the following case selection criteria:

  • must have been prescribed and had at least four injections of Depo-Provera or Depo-SubQ or a generic version of Depo-Provera;
  • must have received the Depo birth control shot after 1992;
  • must have been diagnosed with Meningioma (malignant or benign);
  • must have used one of the qualifying injections for at least 12 months;
  • must have a minimum of 2 years latency from date of first injection to date of diagnosis;
  • must know where they received the shots (doctor’s office, pharmacy, planned parenthood, etc);
  • Death statute of limitations applies, and must not be within 90 days of expiring. No other SOL checks apply;
  • must not be currently represented by an attorney;
  • must confirm they are not currently an inmate of a prison or jail.
